Dr. Phillip Atiba Goff featured on NPR’s “All Things Considered”

Last week's Supreme Court rulings on a key provision of the Voting Rights Act and the University of Texas affirmative action policy, as well as events including the murder trial of George Zimmerman and accusations of racism against celebrity chef Paula Deen, have demonstrated that the United States continues to face struggles with race. On NPR's Code Switch, Dr. Phillip Atiba Goff of the CPLE discusses how race matters and how we come to make sense of it. He notes that inequality is persistent or may even be increasing, despite a decline in prejudice, and states that we need to re- examine assumptions that without prejudice there are no problems.
