Paul Liu

Paul Liu serves as the Vice President of Tech & Data Strategy at CPE. In this role, he oversees CPE’s technology including web application development, cloud infrastructure, the software ecosystem, data operations and engineering, IT operations and helpdesk, and cybersecurity. Paul has served in executive technology leadership roles across multiple industries and has devoted his career to the non-profit space for over a decade. He has managed software development teams spanning the globe, weaving together the work of teams across the US, Europe, and Asia.

Paul was previously the Vice President of Engineering at iMentor, where he built a bespoke platform that allows mentors and mentees to engage with curriculum together, safely communicate, and for program managers to case manage mentor/mentee pairs and lessons. His five-year technology plan cut data center costs by 70%, while increasing scalability, security, and uptime from 99% to 99.99%.

At Seton Hall University, Paul was responsible for a web portal that serviced thousands of students and chaired the cross-disciplinary software architecture committee. He built his first commercial system in senior high, and his passion for leveraging technology has only increased since then.

Paul lives with his family in Jersey City, which is incidentally also home to Ms. Marvel, and holds a B.S. in biophysics from Cornell University.
