Aeleah Granger, PhD

Aeleah Granger is an applied social psychology researcher with an emphasis on racial, gender, and religious prejudice and discrimination in criminal justice policy and public safety systems. She earned her Ph.D. in applied psychology from Portland State University. Currently working as a Postdoctoral Fellow with CPE’s Science team, Aeleah brings her experiences with various research methods and theoretical backgrounds to incorporate systemic and historical approaches to better understand how racial bias and discrimination within law and policing systems persist in different forms and on different levels (e.g., structural, individual). Her ultimate goal is to use these more nuanced understandings of bias in public safety to better address racial disparities and create a safer society for all.
