Juliet Pierre-Antoine is the Senior Director of Earned Media and Public Relations at the Center for Policing Equity, where she provides advisement to comprehensive communications strategies, best aligning the organization with its mission in response to major news events and in the promotion of its programmatic efforts to create meaningful progress toward genuine public safety redesign efforts and community empowerment. Beyond her comprehensive experience, Juliet brings tremendous passion to her work. She understands the power words have to shape ideas, inspire action, and foster positive transformation for the next generation.

A lifelong public relations professional and crisis management practitioner, Juliet draws from a career steeped in experience working in the private, non-profit, and public sectors. She spent a decade as a New York City public servant under the administrations of former New York City Mayors Bill de Blasio and Michael Bloomberg. As a press secretary for the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, Juliet supported the strategic message development for and promotion of multiple mayoral affordable housing agendas, affordable housing new construction and preservation programs, and the rollout of the city’s first digital affordable housing lottery platform. The work on these programs directly touched the lives of people who were most in need of access to equity, reflecting Juliet’s desire to bring meaningful outcomes to meaningful work.

Juliet also supported emergency communications response to major New York City events, including, but not limited to, issues stemming from Hurricane Sandy, emergency building incidents such as collapses, fires, health emergencies, and community protests. In addition, she managed proactive local, national, and international press engagements related to narrative storytelling around historic achievements in New York City’s complex housing market. Time and again, Juliet demonstrated her deep understanding of complex issues and demonstrated her ability to bring complex issues to people when information mattered the most.

Juliet has conducted communications trainings and media support for five Housing commissioners, countless civil servants across a number of agencies, elected officials, and attorneys in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles. An experienced event manager, Juliet has coordinated numerous New York City events with celebrity representatives, community leaders, local, state, and federal elected officials - and more. She has provided brand advisement and public relations support to various industries, including MWBE real estate groups, a law firm, small business owners, and start-up companies. Her media experience includes successfully securing placements with the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Hollywood Reporter, Variety Magazine, and major news networks and cable programs such as MSNBC, CNN, CBS, and ABC News.

In her spare time, Juliet is an engaged community member with strong ties to local schools, her local library, and community organizations. She enjoys spending time with her family as she and her spouse work tirelessly to instill a passion for community service and a strong sense of self in each of her two young children.
