Jon LLoyd is a criminologist working as a Research & Development Associate for the Product Discovery team. Jon is currently completing his Ph.D in Sociology at Virginia Tech, where his work focuses on how hate groups relate to hate crime and digital subcultures. Jon earned his MS in Sociology from Virginia Tech and dual BAs in History and Sociology from Concord University. Jon's past work includes developing a machine learning framework to identify hate speech on social media by examining how different social groups are framed.
