Dr. Tracey Lloyd is the Senior Vice President of Science at the Center for Policing Equity (CPE). In this role, she leads CPE's science program—an interdisciplinary team of social scientists and data scientists working at the intersection of racial equity and public safety. She directs CPE's public safety redesign science portfolio, as well as research projects aiming to document and reduce harm in existing public safety systems. 

Dr. Lloyd brings two decades of research and evaluation experience to the role. Prior to joining CPE, she worked as a senior researcher at the Urban Institute's Justice Policy Center and a research fellow at the Program on Criminal Justice Policy and Management at the Harvard Kennedy School. Dr. Lloyd has contributed to dozens of externally-funded research projects and gained deep expertise in quantitative and mixed-methods research design. Her research portfolio includes work on school discipline and accountability, youth violence prevention, families' experiences with incarceration and reentry, income inequality, and eviction. 

A former public high school teacher, Dr. Lloyd earned bachelor's degrees from the Pennsylvania State University and her doctorate in sociology and social policy from Harvard University.
